PARKING LOT BOOM STARTLES WATERFRONT
Danger continues to grow in Zaphira City.
Investigations have begun on a mysterious explosion within the Waterfront on Saturday Morning. It’s been a long-picking through of the 8th Street Public Parking Lot by Local Bomb Squads, civilians ready with cobbled together armor to do what they can to protect their homes, before investigators were allowed to broach the scene and publish their findings. Other local cleaning crews have already begun to clean up broken glass from nearby buildings and establishments.
The large scorch mark covers half of the parking lot- though we at Daily News were not allowed to measure it out due to potential tampering with the crime scene. An insider in the 8th Street Bomb Squad provided some pieces of evidence however- Scraps of metal shrapnel embedded into the hulls of abandoned cars with odd blue paint. One was recoverable with an “S” painted upon it. The potential of a new gang is there- though many asked seemed to doubt it.
A nearby witness declared “There was nothing- quiet morning for once, in Zaphira. Quiet-ish of course. My dog got ate up by a rat-thing in the sewer! But uh-anyways. Walkin’ long. Then boom! Big ol’ flames on the horizon! Was so hot I thought my hair was gonn catch from cross the street! Then it was all gone- and this car dROVE out like a bat outta hell!!”
Local CCTV cameras also showed a light silver/white four door sedan on the street before, and after the crime. The license plate was covered however, and the driver, and any potential passengers, were obscured.
