Megabuilding 636 bears a striking silhouette in the midst of the seedy underbelly of the Waterfront District. Piercing the green smog and rain above, it’s no wonder that the felon delinquents down below flock to this steady, imposing structure.
Tech company and autonomous machine manufacturer, Optikos Industries, has begun moving into the upper floors of Megabuilding 636. There have already been interesting incident reports from the convicts tucked into the recesses of the building’s shadow. Flying cars have been coming in and out, simply silhouettes in the green smog, carrying various boxes and items. We watched a few ourselves pass by while we spoke to our first interviewee- a woman who only called herself “Disk Slide.”
“Yeah- their f— ing flying vans keep comin’ in– and out- and in- and out-. All hours of the day and night. Some people are trying to sleep! I’ve got shit to do- work to f—ing, I dunno- I’m trying to survive out here, man. It’s impossible with these corporate s—bags going to and fro.” Disk Slide at this point, looked back and forth to the corners, as if watching for something.
“And get this. They fucking brought through this huge. Box? Massive, dunno how they even got it on the floor. All black. Gave me bad vibes. Like uh. When I was a kid, m’ mom and I used to go out on this skinner on the ocean. There were a few times- we were out at a bad time. Storming and shit. Tossing us to- and fro- and to-. And it’s like- it’s like it’s gonna f—ing eat you. Y’kno. Small in the face of this massive thing. That’s… what it felt like. Whatever it is- it’s bad news.”
A few other drug addicts within the area also reported the sight of such a box. If you have any information- please contact us.
Other miscreants within the area also have reported issues in regards to the Move-In. We asked one “Matt Hamski” about what he may have seen due to the corporation’s rumblings- and how he felt with such an imposing and powerful company next door.
"The previous corporations of Megabuilding 636 left the slums in shambles, and we have spent the past two years working tirelessly to repair the damages caused to average– every day people. With Optikos Industries moving in, we believe they will be held accountable by the people of the Waterfront, held accountable by the Synthetic Rights of the Waterfront, and will be forced to respect the rights of synthetic individuals within the territory of their shiny new offices within Megabuilding 636. Hopefully Optikos Industries will help us enrich the lives of everyone struggling to survive in the Waterfront, and not be a burden holding us all down for profit."

We also asked Morrow Law, current CEO of Optikos Industries on her opinion on the move, and the mysterious view of this box.
“I am very happy with the current expansion of Optikos Industries- and am very excited to see where we progress in the future. We are excited to expand services, offer educational and occupational opportunities to locals, and overall assist the community at large!” She absconded before any more questions could be asked.
We finally asked the titular Optikos, current COO of Optikos Industries, about his feelings about the move.
“I do love a good business deal.”
Whatever unfolds from Megabuilding 636, we will be on top of the action. This is Daily News’ Tim Allen, signing off.
